Cradle Maintenance Plus
24 November 2010
In these days of purchasing decisions driven purely by entries in data bases, suppliers can easily find themselves labelled with just a minimal product or service entry.
Stephen Gomersall, Rotrex OnSite Technical Support Manager, came across this issue when responding to an enquiry for maintenance of a High Level Access cradle system on a London based site.
As he was escorted through the building he noticed eyebolts (which were out of test date) located adjacent to the internal office windows, and on reaching roof level there were latchway systems( which were also out of test date). The BMU was surveyed and on return to the site management office Stephen was able to alert the building management that they had “issues” regarding their Duty of Care to maintain and certify all their access equipment.

Subsequently the customer was delighted to use Rotrex OnSite to provide a cost effective maintenance and test service for the facade access cradle, latchway systems and eyebolts – an efficient “one stop” complete package to bring the site into legal compliance with a single supplier.
