Lifeline Systems and Safety Harness Eyebolts
As approved installers for Latchways, Rotrex OnSite is able to offer a full design and installation service for all of their ManSafe products.
Latchways Lifeline Systems – design and installation
This includes horizontal, vertical and overhead lifeline systems using Latchways Constant Force Post Technology or traditional Latchways stainless steel components. To aid system design, Latchways has developed a unique Windows-based software package. This simplifies modelling and testing of alternative design and loading strategies and helps ensure that the right system is specified for any application by making sure that free-fall distances and system loads for the proposed design are within the required safety factors. All our engineers are trained at Latchways’ headquarters in Wiltshire and regularly attend refresher courses. Our experienced technical team can help with identifying your requirements by carrying out a site assessment. Additionally we are able to quote from tender documents for installation onto new or refurbished buildings.
Latchways – annual maintenance
It is a legislative requirement that fall protection solutions are tested and recertified annually by suitably qualified personnel. Key system checks include deployment of shock absorbers, swage tests and torque checks as part of this process. Upon completion of a satisfactory test an ID tag will be fitted stating the ID number, next test due date and the required system design details. Once recertification is complete a test certificate will be issued from our office. Our experienced technical team can help with identifying your requirements by carrying out a site assessment.
Safety Harness Eyebolts – installation
All of our engineers are trained by ‘Independent Fixing Consultants’, which provides training for specialist anchoring systems such as safety harness eyebolts. At Rotrex OnSite, we are able to offer a full design and installation service for all types of eyebolts including the more aesthetically pleasing pushlock eyebolt manufactured by Latchways. Our experienced technical team can help with identifying your requirements by carrying out a site assessment.
Eyebolts – recertification
It is a legislative requirement that safety harness eyebolts are tested and recertified annually by suitably qualified personnel. Legislation states that eyebolts should be inspected and hydraulically tested to 6kN for a minimum of 15 secondson an annual basis. Upon completion of a satisfactory test an ID tag willbe fitted stating the ID number and next test due date. Once recertification is complete a test certificate will be issued from our office. Our experienced technical team can help with identifying your requirements by carrying out a site assessment.
